What's the Future of Access to Medicines? (#Access2meds, Part 6)

by Devex's Noa Gutterman and Management Sciences for Health
This summer, Devex partnered with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) to host Access to Medicines (#Access2Meds), a conversation that has analyzed and amplified the discussion on global access to medicines.
Over the last three weeks, #Access2Meds has examined major questions including:
- bringing medicines to the world
- from communities to global policy -- innovations to access medicines underway
- engaging the private sector for better health care delivery
- how new business models can help fight chronic diseases
- why strengthening governance is key for creating greater access to medicines
Through insightful stories, engaging video interviews, and inspiring guest columns, Devex and MSH have examined how we can push access to medicines to the forefront of the global health agenda.

MSH's Medicine Movers features stories and videos of patients in three countries.
As part of this series, MSH's Medicine Movers shared stories and videos of patients in three countries, Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Africa, who continue to benefit from pharmaceutical systems, launched during the peak of the AIDS epidemic:
- Aster, a grandmother living with diabetes and TB (Ethiopia)
- Faith, a mother of two, living with HIV, who suffered body-altering side effects from the antiretrovirals (Kenya)
- Alime, a nine-month-old orphan, who's had HIV since birth (South Africa)
