MSH Announces New Web Site

BOSTON, MA (NOVEMBER 7, 2002) — MSH today announced the launch of its new Web site, reflectsing MSH's continued commitment to educate broad audiences about the importance of international development and to provide health managers around the world with sound resources and information for improving health.

Since 1971, MSH has worked with decision makers to improve the management of and access to critical health services, such as primary health care, child survival, maternal and child health, family planning, and reproductive health. Using innovative educational strategies, MSH continues to create opportunities to share its global experiences through technical assistance, training, applied research, publications, e-learning, and fellowships. MSH contributes to strengthening public health management and improving the delivery of low-cost, efficient, and equitable health services to those who need them the most.

In that spirit, the new Web site features stories highlighting the accomplishments of MSH's programs and partners. It also provides a closer look at MSH's four technical centers which provide assistance in:

  • Health Reform and Financing -health financing systems and mechanisms, resource allocation and management, and health systems reform; 
  • Health Services -population and reproductive health, HIV & AIDS, child survival, infectious and chronic diseases; 
  • Management and Leadership - leadership development, strategic planning, operational planning and budgeting, human resources, quality improvement, and information systems;
  • Pharmaceutical Management - access to essential medicines and other health care products and selection, procurement, distribution, and use of essential medicines.

MSH's new Web site also includes:

  • A review of current programs, by technical area, region and country; 
  • A plethora of print publications, electronic resources, and tools developed for health managers worldwide; 
  • Announcements about upcoming events and training opportunities hosted by MSH or featuring MSH staff.
