Prevention is critical to reducing malaria-related illness and death. MSH supports WHO, donor, and RBM-approved interventions in endemic countries, such as the use of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs), indoor residual spraying, uptake of intermittent preventive treatment in pregnancy (IPTp), and seasonal malaria chemoprophylaxis (SMC).
MSH programs support:
Routine distribution of ITNs to pregnant women and children completing vaccination schedules and increased uptake of IPTp in Benin, Madagascar, Malawi, and Nigeria
Annual SMC campaigns in targeted districts in Benin and Nigeria
