Afya Uzazi

Project Overview

Afya Uzazi, which means “healthy parenthood” in Kiswahili, worked to improve access to quality, patient-centered, and integrated health care services including family planning and reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent services. The project worked in Baringo and Nakuru counties in Kenya.

The Afya Uzazi project was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by a consortium of partners led by FHI360 as the prime, Management Sciences for Health, Kisumu Medical Education Trust, and Living Goods, in collaboration with the Government of Kenya, the Ministry of Health, and the county governments.
