USAID Collaborative Support for Health Program

Project Overview

The USAID Collaborative Support for Health (CSH) Program provided technical assistance to the Government of Liberia at the central and county levels to strengthen its health system to meet the daily health needs of Liberians and become more resilient in the face of emergencies. CSH assisted the Ministry of Health (MOH) in six counties to accelerate progress toward the country's priorities for quality health care improvement. Specific initiatives under the program included strengthening the health workforce, improving data systems and financial management, laying the foundation for universal health care, strengthening leadership and governance, advancing quality of care, and ensuring the availability of medicine.

The CSH Program provided training and technical assistance to support the key priorities of the MOH National Health and Social Welfare Policy and Plan 2011 – 2021 as well as the post-Ebola Health Sector Investment Plan. Through these investments, MSH and its partners supported Liberia in its ongoing efforts to improve the health of all Liberians.
