Ana Amaris Caruso, MD, MPH is a Senior Technical Advisor at MSH with 10 years of experience in the medical field and public health, particularly in international health systems strengthening.

Before joining MSH, she worked as a consultant for MSH on projects that provided technical assistance to governments in their efforts to adopt new affordability policies for pharmaceuticals and supported the writing process for the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Roadmap for USAID/MTaPS. She also worked as a consultant at the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies (Israel), supporting research on the performance, organization, and finance of health care systems under the auspices of the World Bank.

Dr. Amaris has experience in behavioral health, inequity in access to mental health services, and disparities research and served as a project coordinator in international clinical trials at the Disparities Research Unit of Massachusetts General Hospital.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Amaris worked as a researcher at PROESA (Colombia) where she provided technical assistance to projects that measured the financial impact of catastrophic illnesses in low- and middle-income countries.

Dr. Amaris received her MD from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and completed her MPH at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health.
