Dr. Pierre Kayende, a medical doctor by training, is the country country project director in Burkina Faso for the Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program. He has over 20 years of experience working throughout Africa as a senior public health program and project manager, with expertise in malaria, HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases, health systems strengthening, and pharmaceuticals management and policy. He earned his doctorate in medicine from the University of Côte d’Ivoire.
