Dr. Roselyne Toby, an infectious diseases specialist with over 15 years of experience, is the country director for the Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program in Cameroon, where she oversees USAID- and Global Fund-funded projects aimed at strengthening the pharmaceutical registration and regulatory process, pharmacovigilance, and universal health coverage efforts. Prior to joining MSH, she spent 10 years as head of the infectious disease department at Yaoundé Central Hospital, where she oversaw clinical research and the training of medical students and supervised the internships of medical doctors. She has been involved in national antimicrobial (AMR) activities and was a member of the World Health Organization’s technical working group on infection, prevention, and control (IPC) minimum requirements in resource-limited settings. She holds a doctorate in medicine from Yaoundé Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a specialization degree in infectious diseases from the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar in Senegal.
