Solicitation for Expressions of Interest (EOI): Seeking to Develop Greenhouse Gas Baseline and Net Zero Strategy

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) invites you to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) in your participation to our upcoming RFP for the development of a Greenhouse Gas Baseline and Net Zero Strategy.

Introduction & Background

MSH is an international non-profit organization headquartered in the United States. MSH’s mission is “saving lives and improving the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health”. MSH is headquartered in Medford, Massachusetts, with a second U.S. office in Arlington, Virginia. MSH currently has offices in 25 countries and, in 2022, conducted work in 48 countries. Of the more than 1,800 staff, 1,600 are based outside of the US.

MSH’s seven-year strategic plan includes the commitment to urgently scale up our global response to climate change. Our ambition is to chart a path toward carbon-negative business operations. As a first step. MSH is seeking to engage a firm or consultant to conduct a baseline assessment of MSH’s greenhouse gas emissions and other pertinent environmental indicators.

MSH seeks expertise in assessing the appropriate scope of this initial baseline and expects the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol or other widely recognized industry standard to be used. In addition, and using the outcomes of the baseline, MSH seeks support to develop targets and a plan for implementation to reach agreed upon targets. This may include

MSH expects the baseline to be completed this fiscal year (ending June 2024) and seeks input and expertise on the steps and time required for the remaining activities.  

Eligibility Information 

Please submit an EOI (five pages, maximum) containing the following information:

To be eligible for consideration, Expressions of Interest must be submitted to procurement@msh.org by no later than Monday, October 30, 2023.

Upon review of the submitted Expressions of Interest, MSH will provide a full request for proposal (RFP) to the successful organizations to develop detailed technical and cost proposals.
