Anna Van Rooyen

Anna Catharina van Rooyen is a senior public health and project management expert with 22 years’ experience in public health and institutional strengthening development projects. As a proven project implementation expert, she has overseen large-scale complex programs with budgets of up to $100 million for USG, WHO and the UN, ensuring results monitoring and documentation, technical excellence and financial and administrative compliance.
Ms. van Rooyen has been living and working in Haiti since 2007. She has solid understanding of the development challenges of building sustainable public systems, especially for health. Most of her career has been dedicated to work in public health, focusing on technical areas such as HIV and Maternal and Child Health, and Child Protection in Angola, Ethiopia, Guinea and Brazil. Her passion for project management, strategic planning and business process design has led her to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Belgium and Spain, helping to create partnerships between Private Sector, NGO’s, and governmental institutions both national and international.
Ms. Van Rooyen has a MPH from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine focusing on maternal and child health, and a MPA from the University of Leiden. She is a native Dutch speaker and is fluent in English, French, Haitian Creole and Spanish.
