Before joining MSH, Dr. Suharlim founded immunizationeconomics.org, an information-sharing, online platform that aims to be a one-stop-shop for policymakers and researchers to access the latest information and data about the cost of delivering immunization programs. Dr. Suharlim developed the costing tools and instruments for Intensified Mission Indradhanush, one of the world's largest immunization drives; and led the data management and analyses of EPIC, one of the most extensive coordinated sets of immunization costing and financing studies in six countries (Benin, Ghana, Uganda, Zambia, Honduras, Moldova).
He received his MD from Universitas Indonesia, an MPH in health policy and management from the Harvard School of Public Health, and his postdoctoral fellowship from the Harvard Center for Health Decision Science. Before Harvard, Dr. Suharlim practiced medicine in the rural area of Panguragan, Indonesia, and was a staff member of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, developing national guidelines and preparing the transition process to Indonesia’s single-payer system.
