Dan Nelson, Global Technical Lead, Fragile States, has managed development, relief, and research projects in Africa and the Caribbean for over twenty-five years, including nearly twenty years managing projects in conflict and post-conflict countries, such as Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, and Haiti. His experience ranges from grassroots implementation with civil society organizations and local governments to national policy development and strategic planning with central level ministries of health. Nelson has worked with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) since 1997 and has served in multiple roles within the organization. Mr. Nelson is trained in health systems management (PhD, ABD), epidemiology (MPH), nursing (LPN) and sociology (BS), and speaks French, Lingala and limited Haitian Creole.
