Serge Xueref is the Senior Principal Technical Advisor for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research at MSH. He is currently based in Uganda. Previously at MSH, Serge supported the Gabon Health Reform Support Program. A public health professional with multidisciplinary knowledge, Serge has experience fighting against communicable diseases at global level and working in local health facilities and national governments in Africa. In his current position, he is assisting local governments to strengthen national health information system, and also works on other technical area such as the fight against HIV. He is also leading the MSH DHIS 2 instance (‘DREAM@MSH’). Prior to his work with MSH, Serge managed the evaluation unit of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria in Geneva. He has also worked WHO, PAHO, and PEPFAR, and he has lived in Switzerland, the US, Nigeria, Madagascar, Gabon and France. He holds a doctorate in medical microbiology, and a PhD in public health from the University of Lyon, France.
