Strengthening Mali’s Virtual Learning Platform

Overview

Access to reliable health information in Mali is challenging due to insecurity and misinformation. Strengthening a trusted, accessible source of professional development for healthcare workers is essential to improving health outcomes.

With support from the Global Fund, MSH - working as a subrecipient under Plan International Mali - partners with the Ministry of Health and Social Development (MSDS) of Mali to enhance its ability to provide low-cost, high-impact continuous professional development to its health workforce.

Through a collaborative, learning-by-doing approach, MSH supports the MSDS in modernizing its national Virtual Learning Platform (VLP). This includes co-developing online courses on HIV, tuberculosis (TB), malaria, health systems strengthening, and mental health, while also strengthening the Ministry's capacity to manage the platform and deliver sustainable eLearning programs.
