Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Alert: Quarterly Bulletin Series

AMR Alert is a quarterly bulletin tracking Nigeria’s progress in strengthening antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance, stewardship, and governance across all One Health sectors. Produced under the Fleming Fund Country Grant Phase II, the series documents system-level advances in laboratory capacity, data quality, workforce development, multisectoral coordination, and evidence-based policymaking. 

Each issue highlights practical progress across human, animal, plant, and environmental health—from surveillance strategy validation and nationwide data collection to antimicrobial consumption monitoring, quality management systems, and stewardship engagement. Together, the AMR Alert series provides a running record of how Nigeria is building a coordinated, data-driven AMR surveillance ecosystem aligned with National Action Plan (NAP) 2.0 priorities.
