Management Sciences for Health’s Amy Boldosser-Boesch Joins the Global Health Council’s Board of Directors

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) announces the appointment of Amy Boldosser-Boesch to the Global Health Council’s (GHC) board of directors, effective January 1, 2019. Ms. Boldosser-Boesch is a recognized leader with more than two decades of experience in both global and domestic health policy and advocacy, with a focus on women’s and adolescents’ health and rights. GHC is the leading membership organization supporting and connecting advocates, implementers, and stakeholders around global health priorities worldwide.

“I am honored to be joining GHC at this crucial moment for making the case for global health and advocating for sound, strong global health policies and resources,” said Ms. Boldosser-Boesch. “GHC has been an important advocacy partner for Management Sciences for Health and I look forward to working with President and Executive Director Loyce Pace and my fellow Board members to ensure GHC’s continued success and impact.”

Ms. Boldosser-Boesch is Senior Director and head of the FCI Program of MSH, which focuses on advocacy and accountability for improved reproductive, maternal, newborn, and adolescent health. She manages the Secretariat for the Civil Society Engagement Mechanism of UHC2030, which is hosted by MSH. Previously, she was interim president and CEO and vice president of global advocacy at Family Care International (FCI), a nongovernmental organization dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safer in the developing world, whose programs and staff were integrated into MSH in late 2015.

Before joining FCI, Ms. Boldosser-Boesch was director of local advocacy initiatives at the National Institute for Reproductive Health, led a New York City Department of Health-funded initiative to increase emergency contraception access among adolescents and immigrant women, served as program officer and deputy director at the International Organization for Adolescents, and worked in the Health Equity program of the Rockefeller Foundation on initiatives to redress health disparities in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.

Ms. Boldosser-Boesch is also an active member of a number of global advocacy initiatives, including the Ending Preventable Maternal Mortality Working Group and the Advance Family Planning Leadership Group. She serves on the UNFPA Global Advisory Council and the World Health Organization Advocacy Advisory Group.
