Give from Your Donor-Advised Fund
Your donor-advised fund (DAF), is one of the simplest, most tax-efficient ways to support Management Sciences for Health and the health systems we build around the world that save lives every day. Your recommendation that takes about three minutes. Here’s how.
The Four Steps
1. Log in to your DAF portal
Fidelity Charitable. Schwab Charitable. Vanguard Charitable. Your community foundation. Whichever sponsor holds your fund, start there and open the grant recommendation form.
2. Find us
Search by name — Management Sciences for Health — or, to be certain you’ve got the right organization, search by our EIN: 04-2482188
MSH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our legal name and EIN are what your sponsor needs to verify us.
3. Choose how the grant travels
Electronic disbursement is fastest. If your sponsor offers ACH or wire, choose it — funds reach our programs in days, not weeks.

A Few Things Worth Knowing
Will I be recognized?
Only if you’d like to be. Many sponsors transmit your name and address with the grant; some don’t. If you’d like us to know the gift came from you, add your name in the notes or email us at [email protected]
Can I make it recurring?
Most sponsors let you schedule grants quarterly or annually. If you’re building MSH into your giving plan, recurring support helps us plan too.
Is my DAF grant tax-deductible?
Deductions are taken when you fund your DAF. Grants aren’t separately deductible — and no goods or services may be received in exchange for it.
Turning 70½ or older?
A qualified charitable distribution from your IRA can’t go to a DAF, but it can come directly to MSH and count toward your required minimum distribution. Contact us at [email protected]
For more complex gifts
Appreciated securities, real estate, charitable remainder and lead trusts, life insurance, and bequests all have a home here. If you are weighing a DAF grant against another vehicle, we’re glad to talk it through with you — no pressure, and we’re happy to work alongside your recommendation rather than around it.
For successor advisors
If you’ve inherited advisory privileges on a fund and are deciding where its remaining balance should go, MSH may already appear in the fund’s giving history. We can tell you what the original donor supported and what it accomplished. That history is often the best guide to what comes next.
