With over 25 years of international development experience, Kathleen Sears brings a strong technical understanding of designing and implementing large, complex health projects. Well versed in strategic thinking, policy development, and health systems, as well as work planning/budgeting, financial and human resource management, and monitoring and evaluation, Sears has served as Chief of Party, Senior Technical Advisor, and Project Director for bilateral projects in low- and middle-income countries, as well as post conflict countries. She has lived and overseen projects in Guinea, Nigeria, and Afghanistan and has extensive global experience developing individual and organizational capacity for civil society organizations, non-profit nongovernmental organizations, professional health associations, and government ministries, with an emphasis on strengthening all aspects of health systems. Sears has overseen private sector engagement, government stewardship development, leveraging private-sector resources and ensuring quality, and developing foundational work for large-scale hospital public-private partnerships. Currently, Sears leads high-profile bids and strategy development at MSH.
