Marion Subah, CNM, RNC is Management Sciences for Health’s (MSH) Deputy Chief of Party for the Local Health Solutions (LHS) Activity in Liberia and a public health specialist with more than 35 years of experience in clinical practice, program development, management, and leadership, focusing on reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH); community health and development; and health systems strengthening. Subah supports the LHS team in Liberia in promoting decentralized health governance, improving the quality of RMNCH and malaria services, and strengthening local capacity to promote long-lasting change in partnership with the Government of Liberia and the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Prior to joining MSH, she served as the Country Director for the Liberia Program at Last Mile Health. There, she provided oversight for the partnership with the Ministry of Health at the national and subnational levels to scale and sustain the National Community Health Assistant Program. She also led the management of the Jhpiego portfolio in Liberia on eliminating preventable maternal and child deaths with the delivery of quality RMNCH services and strengthening human resources for health through pre- and in- service training programs. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from the Catholic University of America; a diploma in nurse midwifery from Phebe Hospital and School of Nursing; a post-graduate certificate in leadership from the Jhpiego Leadership Development Program; and is certified in Development Project Management (DPro).
