This webinar series highlights the progress and achievements of the Ugandan government’s efforts to modernize and digitize its health supply chain to increase availability and access to safe, quality-assured medicines and health supplies in public and private nonprofit health facilities. The USAID-funded Uganda Strengthening Supply Chain Systems (SSCS) Technical Assistance Activity is proud to support the government in its effort toward greater self-reliance by providing technical assistance to strengthen the country’s health system to more effectively combat infectious and non-communicable diseases and improve health services and outcomes for all Ugandan families and communities.

Episode 1: Promoting Local Ownership and Sustainability of Uganda’s Supply Chain System through the 10-Year Roadmap
During this webinar, panelists from the Ministry of Health, the Office of the Prime Minister, USAID, the SSCS Activity discussed Uganda’s 10-year national health supply chain roadmap after 3 years of implementation. Speakers underscored the significance of collaborative efforts between stakeholders to the roadmap’s success.
Episode 2: Digitalization of Uganda’s National Health Supply Chain System
In this webinar, experts from the Ministry of Health, National Medicine Stores, USAID Uganda, and healthcare practitioners provided updates on the digital transformation of Uganda’s health system, focusing on the national health supply chain. Learn about advancements in integrating quantification tools, upgrading health facility hardware, enhancing procurement planning processes, and the next steps in the digitalization journey.

In this webinar, experts from the Government of Uganda, Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE), Uganda Healthcare Federation (UHF), and the USAID Local Partner Health Services Activity shared lessons learned in supply chain system management, highlighting how different e-learning tools, self-assessments, and capacity strengthening activities enhance local supply chain leadership. Learn about improvements in last mile supply chain administration, approaches to stakeholder collaboration, and supply chain quality improvement.
