Management Sciences for Health Appoints Gordon Kihuguru as New Chief Financial Officer

Arlington, VA—August 26, 2021—Management Sciences for Health (MSH) announced today the appointment of Gordon Kihuguru as its new chief financial officer.

Gordon joined MSH in 2017 as regional director for finance and operations, and since then has played a key role in positively transforming the organization’s global financial and operational systems. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership roles in major global NGOs.

Prior to joining MSH, Gordon served as the regional finance director for the West Africa region for Save the Children, where he provided compliance and control assurance for 10 West and Central African countries and 1,500 staff. Before that, Gordon was the global head of finance and accounting, and regional finance controller at CARE USA, based in Ghana and the Philippines, leading finance and IT teams, training staff on systems and regulations, and leading annual budget planning processes and financial donor reporting. Gordon also has worked with Oxfam Great Britain in financial management positions and the International Rescue Committee as a finance controller in Afghanistan.

Originally from Uganda, Gordon has professional experience in more than a dozen countries, having previously worked in Freetown, Dakar, Kabul, Manila, Accra, and, most recently, at MSH’s office in Abuja, Nigeria.

Gordon has an MBA in finance and accounting from Uganda’s Makerere Business University and a bachelor’s degree with honors from Makerere University. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is pursuing his doctorate DBA/MBA at Unicaf University.
