Management Sciences for Health Welcomes Kathryn Erskine as Chief People and Culture Officer

Arlington, VA—January 21, 2025—Management Sciences for Health (MSH) announced today the appointment of Kathryn Erskine as its Chief People and Culture Officer.

Kathryn joins MSH from DAI, where she served as Vice President of People, overseeing the human resources function for more than 5,000 global staff. Before her position at DAI, Kathryn worked for Chemonics and Creative Associates in the areas of operations, corporate governance, business development, and talent management and acquisition. Earlier in her career, Kathryn was a program manager for a small global health nonprofit where she led community health participant training projects.

The Chief People and Culture Officer role has oversight of many crucial areas, including talent and performance development, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, onboarding and orientation, safety and security, and business process standardization.

“People and culture are at the heart of MSH’s work and of our 2023–30 strategy. Without extraordinary people and an organizational culture built on our values of respect, accountability, and impact, we would not have been able to be an effective partner to more than 150 countries since we began working in 1971. I am excited to bring on an experienced people leader who has a passion for global health, a keen understanding of our industry, and a strong background in program management to help continue to advance our partnerships globally,” said Marian W. Wentworth, MSH’s President and CEO.

“Thirty years ago, I started my career in international development, managing participant health programs for a small nonprofit. I am absolutely thrilled to be joining MSH and working for an organization focused on building strong, sustainable, and resilient health systems,” said Kathryn. “I look forward to working with Marian and her Leadership Team to support MSH’s global staff in achieving their critical mission.”

Kathryn holds a bachelor’s degree in politics and Spanish from Wake Forest University and a master’s in international affairs from American University. She will join MSH on January 27, 2025.
