Sara Wilhelmsen, MPP is a Principal Technical Advisor in Management Sciences for Health’s Health Program Group with 12 years of experience managing and leading global health programs. Ms. Wilhelmsen specializes in health system program design and approaches in relation to health policy and planning. She has worked in African and Asian countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Ethiopia, Namibia, Nigeria, Angola, and Vietnam. Previously Sara worked for the US Agency for International Development where she was a Program and Policy Advisor with the Office of HIV/AIDS in Washington, DC implementing PEPFAR. She has also worked for the Office of Global Health Affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services. Sara holds a Master’s of Public Policy degree with a focus on international economic development from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.
