Khalid Rahim

Dr. Khalid Rahim is a general physician with 22 years of experience in health care administration, public health, and program and project management. He brings to MSH expertise in strategic planning, policy and procedure development, revenue generation, international relations, budgeting, and program evaluation. 

In 2010, he worked as Senior Technical Advisor to the Minister of Public Health in Afghanistan, where he contributed to the development of the National Health Policy and Strategy for the Ministry of Public Health. In 2014, he joined USAID Afghanistan as a project management specialist, where he successfully managed multimillion-dollar large-scale projects focused on pharmaceutical management and nutrition. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Rahim has worked in various capacities with national and international donors and organizations, including USAID, Afghanistan Social Marketing Organization, Allegheny County Health Department, Futures Group Global, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Medical Emergency Relief International (Merlin), QED Group, and University of Pittsburgh. 

Dr. Rahim lives with his family in Pittsburgh. In his personal time, he enjoys playing tennis.
