Khalid Rahim

Dr. Khalid Rahim is a general physician with 23 years of experience in healthcare administration, public health, and program and project management. He brings expertise to MSH in strategic planning, policy and procedure development, revenue generation, international relations, budgeting, and program evaluation. 

In 2010, he served as a Senior Technical Advisor to the Minister of Public Health in Afghanistan, contributing to the development of the National Health Policy and Strategy for the Ministry of Public Health. In 2014, he joined USAID Afghanistan as a Project Management Specialist and Contracting Officer Representative, successfully overseeing multimillion-dollar, large-scale projects focused on pharmaceutical management and nutrition. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Rahim has worked in various capacities with national and international donors and organizations, including USAID, the University of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County Health Department in Pennsylvania, Futures Group Global, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Medical Emergency Relief International (Merlin), QED Group, and Afghan Social Marketing Organization.

Dr. Rahim is a Fulbright scholar. He completed his MPH at the Saint Louis University School of Public Health and obtained his MBA in International Healthcare Management from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He lives with his family in Pittsburgh. In his personal time, he enjoys playing tennis.
