Edgar Lusaya

Dr. Edgar Lusaya, MSH’s country director for the Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program in Tanzanian, is a public health specialist with more than 10 years of experience working for donor-funded health projects in Tanzania, including USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Women Health Project, and PharmAccess. Prior to joining MSH, Dr. Lusaya worked with Jhpiego Tanzania as the Quality and Performance Improvement Advisor, where he supported the USAID Boresha Afya Project, a consortium of three implementing partners (Jhpiego, PATH, and Engender Health), by leading quality programming for maternal and newborn health, malaria, and family planning in Tanzania’s seven Lake and Western zone regions. He holds a doctorate in medicine from the University of Dar es Salaam and a master’s degree in public health from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Health Sciences, Dar es Salaam.
