Elke Konings

With more than 25 years’ experience in building the capacities of local organizations and implementing, managing, leading, and overseeing health programs, Dr. Elke Konings’ technical expertise includes women’s, children’s, and adolescents’ health; infectious and noncommunicable disease prevention and response; and global health security. She has held senior project leadership and technical roles in Ethiopia, Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, and Zambia for MSH, other international NGOs, and WHO. Dr. Konings completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Dartmouth Medical School, after earning a PhD in Epidemiology at Imperial College, University of London, and an MSc in Demography from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
