Overview

The Knowledge for Health II project (K4Health II) helped facilitate the development and dissemination of high-quality health information to a broad network of public health organizations supporting program managers and health service providers around the world. K4Health II followed the 2008–2013 K4Health project, led by the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs, in collaboration with MSH, FHI 360, and IntraHealth.

We supported the development of the K4Health Network, a global community of health professionals, by providing its members with information, expertise, ideas, and opportunities. K4Health Network members contributed technical expertise on knowledge management and blended learning, developed evidence on the link between knowledge management and health systems strengthening, disseminated evidence-based tools and resources in public health, and provided support for adapting technical information.

Through K4Health, we helped partners strengthen their capacity in management, leadership, and governance with tailored approaches that are unique to the needs and contexts of health professionals and organizations. We also ensured that organizational learning principles were incorporated into K4Health partner teams.
