Guinea
In 1998, we began supporting local health authorities to strengthen and build demand for Guinea’s decentralized health services.
Overview
Our work with regional, district, and community partners in Guinea improved access to and quality of reproductive, maternal, and child health and HIV and AIDS services. Our technical assistance helped expand malaria prevention and treatment programs in Guinea and strengthened governance in the pharmaceutical sector, enhancing the availability of pharmaceutical management information systems at all levels of the health system and improving capacity for pharmaceutical supply management and services. During the Ebola outbreak, we helped to strengthen the country’s logistics management information system to include the inventory and distribution of Ebola products to help ensure that they are safe and available.
